Printspiration: 9to5 Prints

For the first of the ‘Prinstpiration’ Series, we would like to start with day time and office looks. It’s very easy to overwhelm an outfit with adding too much print or if you go for a head-to-toe print look. To achieve a minmalist office or day look, it’s important to add prints strategically. Here, we choose two simple ways to incorpoerate prints into an outfit.

Looks 1 – Solid colours + bold pattern accessories.

To add personality to an otherwise plain outfit, just add a statement patten necklace and/or earring (By Naori’s Bijoux). It instantly brings any outfit to life. Another way is to pile on patterned-bracelets. Mix and match prints to come up with a look that’s colourful, yet easy on the eyes and will keep the overall look simple.

Look 2 – Flirty patterns.

It’s easy to get lost in all the colourful patterns and beautiful prints when it comes to tops and bottoms. Choose an item that has a figure flattering cut and match with a solid colour. Here this flirty skirt from Mina Danielle is matched with a simple black blouse. The long-sleeve blouse balances the skirt’s short-hem for a more day-appropriate look. The ring+necklace (by Naori’s Bijoux) are a good way to add colour to the top portion of the outfit. Their pattern is different from the skirt, adding a contrast and more character to the outfit without being too matchy-matchy.
